Richard C. Amdahl, 68, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at his home in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was born in Eau Claire on March 9, 1937, the son of Parlen and Myrtle (Johnson) Amdahl. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy until honorable discharge in 1963. Richard married Pauline Nicoll in on March 2, 1967. He worked as a long-haul truck driver and later as a resident manager at an adult rehabilitation center.

Richard is survived by his son, Michael of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Andrea (C.J. Matiszik) Amdahl of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; their mother, Pauline Amdahl of Redondo Beach, Calif.; aunt, Esther Blaisdell of Allen Park, Mich.; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Parlen and Myrtle Amdahl.

Graveside services were Friday, December 30, 2005, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services served the family.
