Terry Beckham 66, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones.

Terry George Beckham was born on November 10, 1946, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Bill and Helen (Meyers) Beckham. Terry attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District, graduating with the class of 1965.

On October 2, 1966, Terry was united in marriage to Judy Hennis at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. They resided in Marshalltown during their 48 years of marriage.

Terry worked for Fisher Controls, Lennox Industries, and the last 18 years as Vice President of Thombert Inc. in Newton, Iowa, until his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Terry loved to hunt, fish, and golf, and always enjoyed the outdoors. After retiring, he enjoyed his flower beds. He also loved spending time at the cabin at Lake Ponderosa with his family and friends. Terry and Judy spent the last several winters in Arizona, enjoying his family that lived there.

Through the last two months of Terry’s health issues, he kept his sense of humor and could brighten anyone’s day. Even in his last days, he made the nurses smile.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Judy, of Marshalltown. Sons: Shawn (Tracy) Beckham of Clemons, Iowa; and Shane Beckham of Legrand, Iowa. Grandchildren; Levi, Mackensie, Cody and Koltyn Beckham. Siblings: Monna (Bill) Weuve of State Center, Iowa; Chila (Don) Harms of Eugene, Oregon; and sister-in-law, Donita Beckham of Scottsdale, Arizona; his father’s wife, Verna Beckham; and many, loving, nieces and nephews.

In death Terry rejoins his loving daughter Amy Michele (1989); his parents, Bill and Helen; brother, Tom Beckham; and his in–laws, Lee and Mary Hennis.
