Alice Elsa Mills Belgrave was born on August 22, 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Melville James Mills and Florence Osberga Hilton Mills.She died peacefully at home on April 25, 2014 surrounded by loving family. She was the third eldest child of seven. She worked in the resraurant business and private homes. In later years, she worked selling and altering fine clothing for women. In May 1941, Alice married the late Fritz A. Belgrave of Boston and they resided in Boston Ma. She was skillful and creative in sewing, knitting, alterations, crocheting, cooking pies and package cakes.Alice was stylish and wore beautiful clothes.She was verry affable,ie., pleasantly easy to talk to and showed friendliness. In her retirement years, she was a member of the Reggie Lewis Senior Group. She walked, excercised, socialized, and enjoyed the activities the center offered. she was a faithful member of the United Emmanuel Holiness Church, Inc. She was chairperson of the Missionary Board for twenty years.She was instrumental in the formation of the church's trustee board. She helped in the homes of neighbors and members of the church when care was needed. She assisted the musicians for the Tiny Tots Children's Choir. She visted the sick and shut-ins. Her low singing voice could be heard when the church lifted their voices in song. After many years at United Emmanuel Holiness Church, Inc., Alice Joined the church congregation of Comminity Revival and Outreach Ministries Of Bostonunder the pastorship of Rev. William H. Watkins, Sr. Alice was an active member until her health began to fail. She Leaves to mourn her passing, one sister a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and other relatives and friends.
