Alana Noel Bryan, 19 months old, was cured of Infant Leukemia by Our Heavenly Father on September 6, 2009. She is the daughter of Alan and Lea Bryan and sister of Deanna Bryan of Greenville.
Alana Noel was a strong, courageous baby girl who battled leukemia most of her short life. She lived each day to the fullest spreading love, joy and faith to those around her. God had given Alana an amazing will and strength to live. We are surrounded by a lifetime of her inner and outer beauty. She will forever be missed by her family and friends. She is a member of St. Mary's Church.
She is survived by her godparents, Amy Grinnell and Zach Grinnell (Ohio) and Mark and Nancy Perfect of Greenville. Alana's paternal grandparents, Bobby and Sue Bryan (Spartanburg), and maternal grandparents, Phyllis Noel (Ohio) and Lee and Linda Noel (Ohio); great-grandmother, Theresa Moon (Ohio); aunts and uncles, Glenn and Robin Henderson (Inman), Ray and Beth Morrell (Boiling Springs), Amy Grinnell (Ohio), Sean and Sharon Miller (Ohio), John Skopos (Florida) and Hank and Alicia Strickland (Hilton Head); and great aunts and uncles, Rob and Pat Wyatt (Boiling Springs), JoAnn Tyler (Spartanburg), Linda Ingram (Georgia), Jerry and Sherry Sloan (NC), Bill and Audrey McLaughlin (Ohio), Sandra Heeter (PA) and Frank and Robin DeWeese (Ohio). Also surviving are many first, second and third cousins.
Preceding Alana to Heaven was her Aunt Christine Noel Skopos (Ohio).
Visitation for family and friends will be held at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville 29607 on Thursday, September 10, 2009, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 111 Hampton Avenue, Greenville 29601 on Friday, September 11, 2009, at noon.
The Burial will immediately follow mass at Woodlawn Memorial Park for a brief prayer and a balloon release for Alana Noel.
