Loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Viola Snell, died July 21, 2014, at Providence Hospital. A graveside service will be at Rosemound Cemetery provided by Pecan Grove Funeral

Viola was born in Durango, -Tsxas on March 16, 1923, to Tom and Vera Howze.

She graduated from Waco High School in 1941 and worked at Sears, where she met her future husband, Otis K. Snell. They married May 9, 1952 and had two loving sons, Otis K. Snell, Jr. and Kelly Thomas Snell.

Viola and her family were long time members of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church and she attended Robinson Drive United Methodist Church in later years. Viola was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was a two time president of the Mary Milam Garden Club and an officer in the City- Council of PTA.

Viola was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; and brothers-in-law, Lloyd Shehorn
and Doyle Elliott.

She is survived by her sons, Otis "Kenny" Snell and wife, Karen, Kelly Snell and wife, Paula; four granddaughters, Stephanie Trotter and husband, Chris, Stacy Plunkett and husband, Cody, Shanna Whyburn
and husband, Blake, Shay Michon and husband, Aaron; one grandson, Ty Thomas Snell; and nine
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Elliott and Doris Shehorn; and a niece and nephew.
