KATE MARION ANDERSON
HUNTSVILLE — Kate Marion Anderson, 84, went home to be with Christ on April 21, 2014.
Kate, born June 29, 1929 in Onalaska, Texas, is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Iola Smith and grandson, Michael Arron Peavey. She is survived by her cherished husband, Luther “Buddy” E. Anderson; son, John Michael Peavey and wife Sharon; daughter, Pamela Peavey. Grandchildren Chad Womack and wife Dillon, Brad Womack, Wesley Womack and wife Prima, Angela Kate Peavey Mayton and husband Mike; Great-grandchildren Bailea, Darianne, Madeline, Garrett, Lyla Kate, Skylar and Lincoln; sister, Jane Bowers and brother, Roy Lucas.
Kate was truly a Southern Lady, who dedicated her life to preparing herself and family to go live with Christ. She and her beloved husband, Buddy, had a unique love for each other unlike no other, which her children and grandchildren were blessed to witness. Kate believed home is where the heart is and when you walked through her front door you truly felt at home. She will be remembered as a gracious and loving dedicated Christian.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Elkins Lake Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at Elkins Lake Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas. Graveside service will be Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Elkins Lake Baptist Church Building Fund, 206 Texas 19, Huntsville, Texas 77340.
