Marvin Yarnell, age 67, of Stockton, Mo., formerly of Houston, Mo., joined our Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. Marvin was born March 21, 1938, in Houston, Mo. Marvin was a dear friend of many, loved by all who were blessed to know him. Marvin was the builder and owner of the Stockton State Park Marina for 13 years. He served for 14 years as the Cedar County Southern Commissioner. Marvin also devoted a great deal of his time to the Stockton Lodge #283, Scottish Rite KCCH 32nd degree Mason, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Club, and Lake Stockton Shrine Club. Marvin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dorothy F. (Henson) Yarnell, of Stockton, Mo., and children: Van and Brenda Yarnell, of Springfield, Mo.; Curt and Jodi Yarnell, of Stockton, Mo.; Lisa and Rick Renfro, of Houston, Mo.; Angie and Jeff Totten, of St. Louis, Mo.; Bruce and Vickie Yarnell, of Stockton, Mo.; and Tanya and Jeff Ball, of Marshall, N.C. Marvin is also survived by his parents, Curtis and Zelda Yarnell, formerly of Licking, Mo.; and his siblings, Ervin and his wife, Lucille Yarnell, of Eudora, Kan.; Gerald and his wife, Gloria Yarnell, of Springfield, Mo.; Robert Yarnell, of Rudy, Ark.; and Lois and her husband, Alfred Cunningham, of Licking, Mo. Services were held at the Assembly of God Church in Stockton, Mo., on January 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. with burial in Stockton Cemetery. Memorials can be made through Brumback Funeral Home to Lake Stockton Shrine Club for Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital or Stockton Nursing Home.
