Clarence E. Braden, age 95 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died January 21, 2011 at the McCreary Health and Rehab in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday January 24, 2011 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 7PM Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the funeral home.

He was born in Angel Valley, Tennessee on May 31, 1915, the son of the late Jimmy and Susie (Angel) Braden. He was a farmer and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. His parents, wife June (Creekmore) Braden, son Denzil Braden, brothers Joseph Braden, Lawrence Braden, and Conrad Braden, and sisters Mamie Thomas and Hazel Caddell precede him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Jackie Braden and wife Carol of Pine Knot, Kentucky, James Braden and wife Lori of Kansas, and Joseph Braden and wife Wanda of Pine Knot, Kentucky, brother, Lethal Braden of Winfield, Tennessee and sister, Geneva Gilreath of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements
