John William Hampton Pollock was born on November 30, 1974 (He shared the birthdate of November 30th with his Great-Grandmother). He was well known in Thomas County as was his father, Dennis Pollock, a retired Thomasville (Ga) Police Lieutenant. John did a lot with his life and was always one of the first around when someone needed help. Also known in his younger days as "Bill" or "Billy" he was a well respect young man. His friends would later say aobut John that he was "One of a kind" and "They broke the mold after they made John." When John died in 1997 at the church where his funeral was held all the pews and the Choir Loft were full as well as people standing outside the Church. John was an excellent son, brother, friend, and father. He fathered two children, a son and a daughter. His concern was very high for his children as they were his pride and joy.
