Jim served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a truck weight inspector for the Illinois State Police and was a member of the American Legion Post #0521 in Steger, Illinois
He is survived by his loving wife Ellen (nee Regnier); his loving children James (Claire) Richards, Mary Nieken, Carol Richards, Joan Bettin, John (Jane) Richards, Kathleen Richards, Thomas Richards and Patricia Hennessey. Cherished grandfather of 12 and dear brother to Helen Jackowiak.
Visitation & Funeral: Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1501 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights, Illinois.
