Mary Lou Richardson, 49, of 1002 Eugene Street, died Thursday, April 20, 2000 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Box 2127, Dothan, Alabama, 36302.

Mrs. Richardson was born August 9, 1950 in Montgomery, Alabama and lived most of her life in Dothan. She was employed with McGee Oil Company at the time of her death. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jonathan Ellis, Melissa and Thomas Marsh, Amanda and James Krause, all of Dothan; her mother, Nettie Lou Smith, Dothan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph D. Jr. and Debbie Smith, Dothan, David E. and Jennifer Smith, Hartford; four nephews, Jeffrey Smith, Justin Smith, Jonathan Murray and Taylor Murray; a niece, Amanda Enfinger.

Mrs. Richardson was predeceased by her father, Joseph Darvin Smith, Sr. and her grandparents, P.H. Hoffman and Willie Foy Hoffman.
