Robbie Lee Abshere, 81, of Port Neches, Texas died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her residence.

Robbie was born September 2, 1932 in Kountze, Texas to Fredrick Cody Kimmey and Laura Lee Nicar Kimmey.

She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of this area. Robbie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches, United Methodist Women, and Fidelis Sunday School Class. She also served as Past Matron of Port Neches Eastern Star # 677.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Norman C. Abshere; daughter, Laura Kaye Porter; son, Norman Lee Abshere and wife Darla; sister, Charlotte Riggs and husband Billy; brother, H.C. Kimmey and wife Mary Ann; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas
