Naoma Nadine King (Nadine), 86, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away April 3, 2014. Visitation will be at 9am on April 9, 2014 at Oak Wood Baptist Church in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services will immediately follow at 10am. Russ Taylor will be officiating. Burial will take place on Thurs., April 10 at 11am at the Bona cemetery in Bona, MO. Cremation. Nadine was born in Everton, MO, on June 25, 1927 to James and Lillie Mitchell. Nadine has one living sister, June Tolbert, of Springfield, MO, and she is preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth O'Neal and Janice Moser, and one brother, James Travis Mitchell. Nadine was married to her late husband, Clarence Lee King on July 9, 1946; they were married for 51 years. Nadine retired from All-State insurance in 1986 after 25 years of service. She was actively involved in several clubs in the Lakewood community, many of which she helped found. Nadine was an avid bridge and tennis player. Nadine is survived by two children, Vicki Lee King of Lee's Summit, MO and Duane Travis King of Peoria, AZ; two grandchildren, Christi Lee King of Blue Springs, MO, and Bryan Travis King of San Francisco, CA; and two great grandsons, Trey Jordan Gilliland and Cole Travis Gilliland of Blue Springs, MO; and other family and friends. The family of Naoma Nadine King wishes to thank the many friends and relatives of Nadine, for their continued support and prayers throughout the past year.
