Former president of the Garden Grove High School District School Board, Mr. Donovan lived in Santa Ana 30 years and was a native of Lotts Creek, Iowa. He was a meat cutter and the owner of Donovan's Market. A member of Algona Methodist Church, Algona, Iowa, Mr. Donovan also, belonged to Prudence Lodge 205, F&AM, of Algona.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pretoria E. Donovan of Santa Ana; two sons, Walter E. and Clifford C. Donovan, both of Gar den Grove; four brothers, Robert Donovan of Algona, Wallace Don ovan of Britt, Iowa, Alex Donovan of Ferndale, Wash., and Roy Don ovan of Bellingham, Wash.
Friends may call until noon to at the Brown Colonial Mortuary. Services will be con ducted under the auspices of Gar den Grove Lodge 586, F&AM, and entombment will follow in Melrose Abbey Mausoleum.
