Miriam Jean (Gray) Mills, 93, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 8:40 PM at the Medicallodge Nursing Home in Neosho, MO after a long illness.
Miriam Jean Gray was born August 1, 1920 in Carthage, MO the daughter of Lawrence Ernest and Jennie Grace (Cooper) Gray. Miriam was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca where she taught Sunday School. She formerly attended Swars Prairie Baptist Church. Miriam Jean Gray married Clair DeWitt Mills, February 9, 1946 in Joplin, MO and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Survivors include four sons, Greg Mills and wife Myrna, Ron Mills and wife Maribel, Robin Mills and wife Gale, and Jack Mills and wife Julie; one daughter, Grace Ann Leader; one brother, Bruce Gray; grandchildren, Isaak Mills, Katrina Mills, Paul Mills, Ruben Mills, Joel Mills, Charlie Leader, Jennie Leader, Ben Mills, Matthew Mills, Payton Wagner, Oliver Mills, Lucia Mills and Fletcher Mills.
Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Gray and Jennie Grace Gray, her step-mother, Muriel Gray; siblings, Larry Gray, Dewey Gray and Nadean Kissinger.
Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Gideon's in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380 Seneca, MO 64865.
