Ella (Beggs) Wheeler was the daughter of James Lemon Beggs and Mary Ann Crow.
The Beggs family line goes back to Northern Ireland.

On February 22, 1870, at the age of 20, she married Calvin Norton Wheeler in Cass County, Illinois, West of Springfield.

She was the mother of 5 children:

Ella died of stomach cancer and was buried on her 40th wedding anniversary.
