Thomas Adcock, age 22 enlisted on August 5, 1862 at Northumberland, NY to serve a 3 year tour. Mustered in as a Private with CO F 115 NY INF on August 12, 1862.
Captured in action Harpers Ferry, VA and paroled the following day Sept 15, 1862
AG report from the 115 states that Thomas was wounded on Feb 20, 1864 during one of the worst battles the Battalion faced, where hundreds of their men were lost. It states that Thomas was wounded severely in the leg and possibly captured and nothing was ever heard of him again. Some wounded were taken to Lake City and prisoners were taken to Andersonville. He could be buried at either site but more likely he never left the battlefield.
The 115th fought gallantly at the battle of Olustee, losing nearly 300 in killed, wounded and missing; nearly all the color-guard being shot down.

Mother applies for a pension in April 1880
