He was born on August 23, 1927 in Omaha Nebraska, son of James and Julia Madison. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma Madison, his son Mark Madison, daughter Dawn Seatz, and daughter Connie Kane.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Philippines in the Army Air Corps. After the War, he returned to Omaha where he met Norma and the two were married on March 14, 1953.
In 1966, the family moved to Temple City, California where Don worked as bread and cookie salesman. While there, Don was a baseball and football coach, and enjoyed riding motorcycles in the desert and throwing horseshoes.
In 1986, Don and Norma moved to Happy Valley, near Redding California where he loved to have a cold one on the back deck with friends, proudly flying the American, Notre Dame, and Boise State flags in the front. He was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Anne's Church in Cottonwood. Special thanks are given to Seth and Sandy of Mercy Hospice, for their care and support during his time of need. Donations may be made to Mercy Hospice in Donald Madison's name.
Church and funeral services are pending through Allen & Dahl.
Now, Dad is really ready for the big boys.
