Everett Gordon Baird, age 82 of Eddyville, Kentucky formerly
of Highland, Indiana. died Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Griffith, Indiana. He was a Honorably discharged from the US Army after serving in the Korean Conflict and then joined and maintained his membership with the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beda Lee Baird in May 2013, one son Rickey Baird, two sisters Lucille Means, Louise Lovelace, four brothers Ronald Baird, Austin Baird, Donald Baird, Noel Baird and one great grandchild. His parents were Wayne and Geneva Taylor Baird. Survivors include two daughters Darlene Dunfee of Greencastle, Indiana, Kathy Fivecoat of Highland, Indiana, three sons, Gene Baird of Eddyville, Kentucky, Donald Baird of Eddyville, Kentucky, Glyn Baird of Griffith, Indiana, two sisters Doris Ann Chin of Owensboro, Kentucky, Betty Maxberry of Owensboro, Kentucky, ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Steve McVay officiating and burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday at Dunn's Funeral Home.
