Mrs. Marjorie Kathryn Cottey Perry, age 78, of Madison, Indiana,entered this life on November 27, 1935 in Augusta, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Noel Roscoe and Lena Applegate Cottey. She spent her early life in Bracken County and then the family moved to Vevay, Indiana. She attended Vevay High School in Vevay. Marjorie was united in marriage in 1950 to Rollie Lewis Mitchell. This union was blessed with three daughters and two sons. Marjorie received her licensed practical nursing degree and was employed with the Madison State Hospital and Muscatatuck State Development Center for fifteen years. In 1960 Marjorie was united in marriage to Wayne Bailey and this union was blessed with a daughter. Marjorie had worked for the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison for twenty years in the dietary department. On April 2, 1977 Marjorie was united in marriage to George R. Perry and they enjoyed twenty three years of marriage together until his death on January 17, 2001. Marjorie had worked as a cook for four years at the Jefferson County Jail and for four years with Kathy's Kitchen in Milton and at the Madison VFW Post 1969. She was a member of the Broadway Second Baptist Church in downtown Madison. She enjoyed watching "Days of Our Lives", listening to Country Music, going to the boat, shopping, her dogs, Chico and Sadie Rose. Marjorie will be remembered as a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Marjorie died on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11:28 p.m. at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana.

Marjorie will be missed by her loving sons, Gary Lee Mitchell of Madison, Indiana and Ronnie Mitchell and his wife, Sheila of Nashville, Tennessee; her loving daughters, Kathy Stewart Martin and her husband, Garry of Milton, Kentucky; Karen Davis Meyer and her husband, Mike of Dupont, Indiana; Betty "Buffy" Paul and her husband, Kenny of Madison, Indiana; Nina Ruth Mitchell of Madison, Indiana; her step sons, George Thomas Perry and his wife, Heather of Madison, Indiana; Russell D. Cosby of Hanover, Indiana; Brian Gibson of Madison, Indiana; her loving sisters, Loucetta Rathgen and her husband, Richard of Hamilton, Ohio; Vicky Dwelly and her husband, Jackie of Lewisburg, Kentucky; her loving brother, William Roscoe "Bill" Cottey and his wife, Loretta of Hamilton, Ohio; 34-grandchildren;76-great grandchildren; 5-great great grandchildren; 38 step grandchildren; 28 step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel Roscoe and Lena Applegate Cottey; her first husband, Rollie Lewis Mitchell; her second husband, Wayne Bailey; her third husband, George R. Perry, died Jan. 17, 2001; her step daughter, Mary Penrose "Penny" Perry; her sisters, Alma Mae Cottey Yerby and Janet Cottey and five grandchildren.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Ron Lee at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery,600 West Fifth Street in downtown Madison, Indiana

VISITATION
Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
