He attended Chicopee High School and American International College. He was a forty-year wholesale clothing sales manager, a 55-year member of the Hancock Church, a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Simon Robinson Lodge. Dorothy Aseltine Mackechnie, wife, Jane Mackechnie Mchugh, daughter, and Helen Prodell Mackechnie wife, predeceased him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 12 noon at the Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA. in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Youville Hospital, 1575 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02138.
