Services for Basil Greer, 91, of Union City, were held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, April 9, at the White-Ransom Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Jerry Legett officiating. Burial was in the East View Cemetery.
Mr. Greer, a former resident of Martin, died April 6, at the Union City Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Weakley County, he was born January 16, 1899, and was the widower of Alma Thomas Greer who died February 16. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bethel Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Hazel McCuan of Union City; a sister, Mattie Lee Neel of Greenville, South Carolina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Toni Wells of Martin is one of the Grandchildren.
