OBITUARY-
ADAMS -- The funeral for William S. Hueman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with the Rev. Gregory Leif officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hueman, 93, of Adams, a former Hormel Foods Corp. employee, died Monday (May 6, 2002) at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea.
Born Aug. 9, 1908, in Lodi, Minn., he attended a country school in the Taopi area and lived in the Adams-Taopi area most of his life. He worked at Hormel for several years. On Feb. 22, 1933, he married Ruby Anderson in Austin. Mr. Hueman entered Good Samaritan Center in 2001. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Austin, and enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing and working on his hobby farm.
Survivors include four daughters, Clarice (Herman) King of Rochester, Louise (Loren) Monson of LeRoy, and LaVonne (Jerome) Landherr and LaDonna Heuman, both of Austin; two sons, Robert (Mary) of Blooming Prairie and Richard (Linda) of Adams; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace (Roland) Ross of Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000, a son, two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Adams Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 5 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
