Mrs. Gladys Eppinger, wife of Harry Eppinger, died at the New Castle hospital Wednesday after a several weeks illness. An operation was performed Tuesday in the hope of saving her life, but proved unavailing.
Mts. Eppinger had been a resident of Union Township for some time and had many friends. She was a daughter of Robert and Mary Weaver Williams, both of whom survive her. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and a woman of fine traits.
Besides her husband, she leaves a little son a few weeks old, also her parents, and two brothers and four sisters, as follows: Alfred, of this city; Robert, of Michigan; Mrs. W. L. Bois Claire, of this city; Mrs. Howard Biddle, of Edenburg; Mrs. Len Gilmore, of this city; and Mrs. W. R. Palmer, of Union Township.
The remains have been taken to the residence of her sister, Mrs. W. L. Palmer, West State street extension. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church and interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
