Altoona Mirror, January 19, 1961: SAMUEL H. WHITSEL
Of 811 North Spring St., Everett, a former resident of Williamsburg, died at 11.30 a.m. yesterday. He was born at Spruce Creek Nov. 4., 1876, a son of William and Amelia (Stiver) Whitsel. Mr. Whitsel was twice married, first to Elizabeth Mae Moyer and then to Eliza White. He was a member of the Yellow Springs Lutheran Church and a former employe of the West Virginia Pulp & Paper Company at Williamsburg, retiring in October, 1955 after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, one daughter Mrs. Kathryn Ulery of New Enterprise; one son, Leroy of Everett; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
WHITSEL - Services for Samuel H. Whitsel of 811 North Spring St., Everett, will be held at the Owen D. Bechtel Funeral Home, Williamsburg at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. C.F. Wisler friend and former pastor of the deceased. Interment in Sabbath Rest Cemetery at Pinecroft [Antis cemetery?]. Friends will be received at the Owen D. Bechtel Funeral Home, Williamsburg, after 1 p.m. Friday until the time of services.
