Robert L. Freking, 79, passed away peacefully, February 23, 2014, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Barrington.
Bob was born May 19, 1934 in Barrington to the late Robert and Adeline Freking. He attended Barrington schools and continued living in Barrington, until he returned from Army duty at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Bob then married and moved to Wauconda, where the family has remained for many years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie; devoted father of Brad and the late Lon and Dru; fond brother-in-law of Craig Coester and uncle of Lisa Coester.
Bob was a gentle soul with a big heart, who was loved by many who knew him. Bob worked as a carpet installer for 18 years. He then worked for the Cuba Township Highway Dept., retiring after 21 years.
