Mary A. Abate, 80, of North Conway NH, died Dec. 19, 2000, at the Merriman House in North Conway following a long illness. Born in Saracena, Italy, the daughter of Frank and Antoinette (Gailiano) Covello, she immigrated to the United States in 1925. Mrs. Abate had lived in Malden MA for 72 years prior to moving to North Conway in 1997.
