Margaret attended WSC for three years where she was associated with Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. She transferred to Western where she met her husband to be.
She graduated form Western in May of 1949 and was married to Jack Kelley in June of the same year. After short stints in Tennessee and Idaho, Margaret moved back to Bellingham in 1954.
Margaret was a great lover of horses and dogs, having raised many horses and dogs in her lifetime, starting at about age 12.
At the families request, there will be no services and her ashes will be interred at Greenacres Memorial Park.
