Carrie Angel Aldridge Murray, 48, of California died March 3, 2011, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., after a courageous lifelong battle with diabetes.
Born July 19, 1962, in Banner Elk, Avery County, N.C., she grew up in Lexington Park, attending St. Mary's Academy and St. Mary's College of Maryland. She worked for Dr. Martin Barley as a dental assistant and then at Aldridge Ford as an office manager, until the dealership was sold in 2007. She enjoyed spending her time with family, friends and her pets.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, whom she wed on June 17, 1989.
She is also survived by her parents; her brother; her grandmothers, Corinna Aldridge and Ann Buchanan; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her five brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; her four nephews; four nieces; two aunts; four uncles; and many beloved cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lewie Aldridge Sr. and Harry Elmo Buchanan.

The family received friends and a prayer service was held March 8 at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown. Funeral services will be held in North Carolina.
