David was born in Dallas and moved to Canton with his parents in 1959. He attended Canton schools and graduated in 1972. He also attended Tarrant County Junior College. He worked several years for the F.B.I. and retired from Mesquite Police Dept at the age of 48. He was a member of the Heritage Trail Cowboy Church in Ben Wheeler Texas.
David is survived by his parents. And was the was the grandson of Walter Eastland Ward & Ora Belle Morris Ward and Dewey Hobson Fugate & Odetta May Meredith.
David was an only child. No siblings.
