she was the daughter of Earl and Lela Helen (Blankenship) Woodard.

Patricia was a member of First United Methodist Church in Seymour, where she served on various committees, the Administration Board and as treasurer.A 1949 graduate of Shields High School, her other education included being a graduate of Seymour Business College, School of Bank Marketing–University of Colorado, American Institute of Banking, seminars and conferences. She taught several banking classes and served as a graduate assistant of Dale Carnegie classes.She started work at Jackson County Bank on Aug. 1, 1951, as secretary to the president. She was promoted to assistant cashier, assistant vice president, controller, vice president, director of marketing and corporate secretary to the bank's holding company. She worked in all areas of the bank and established the bank's first marketing department and helped install the bank's first automated teller machine. She retired on April 15, 1994.Her banking activities included various committees, such as Indiana Bankers Association, Bank Marketing Association, American Institute of Banking, Bank Administration Institute and National Association of Bank Women. She held offices on group, state, regional and national levels.Patricia was involved in various community activities, including the American Cancer Society, Heart Fund, United Fund, as solicitor, division chairman, training, and first female drive chairman and president. She served on the Downtown Seymour Revitalization Committee, Downtown Merchants Association, Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce and the first Board of Managers; and the Lincoln Park Co-Owners Association.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday at First United Methodist Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Sandy Cooper officiating.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
