Alma Louise Brandenburg, 101 years old, of Aztec passed away Nov. 21, 2005, in Cedar Hill. She was born Oct. 16, 1904, in Lohman, Mo., to Julius and Babette Linsenbardt, one of 10 children.

She attended private school in Lohman, and moved to Colorado in 1922, where she met and married Otto J. Brandenburg. To this union was born three children, Dorothy Shryock, Everett Brandenburg, and Jean Marie Cochran. She and Otto then moved to Cedar Hill in 1937 where she has lived for the last 68 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto J. Brandenburg; daughter, Jean Marie Cochran; great-grandson, Kevin Bond; her parents and brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son, Everett Brandenburg of Ignacio, Colo.; daughter, Dorothy Shryock of Aztec; grandsons, Pat Shryock, David Shryock and Mike Shryock; granddaughters, Phyllis Martinez, Becky Welch, Terri Hellman, Connie Martinson, Tammy Bower and Ginger Papez; 18 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend and caretaker, Nora McElroy

Public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 25, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Cope Memorial Chapel, 405 S. Main Ave. in Aztec, with Pastor Monty Gusswell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Community Cemetery.
