John Klapoetke, 57, died at the St. Agnes hospital at Fond du Lac early Monday morning, January 5, after a long and painful illness.
Funeral services were held from his late residence here and from St. John's Catholic church at nine o'clock this morning (Thursday). Rev. Thos. Jankowski officiated.
John Klapoetke was born in the town of Princeton March 24, 1884, the son of Michael and Rose Klapoetke. On November 17, 1914, he was united in marriage to Mary Pavelske. A son, Edmund, born to this union, died eight years ago. Mrs. Klapoetke died last August 12th.
Two sisters—Mrs. Frank Krafczak of Princeton and Mrs. John Jacobs of Poynette—survived.
John Klapoetke was numbered among our most respected citizens. He was for a number of years in the employ of J. F. Warnke and Sons. For the past eight years he was the efficient janitor of our public school.
Prominent in the Catholic Order of Foresters. Mr. Klapoetke served as financial secretary of the local court ever since its formation. John Klapoetke will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends here in Princeton.
