Christine was the younger daughter of J. William and Katherine Rudolph. With her family, she immigrated from Germany in 1889 when she was about 4 years old. [Need to find immigration ship?]

She married Friedrich Henry Bey on Oct. 10. 1917 in Ohio.

She was known by her grandnieces as Auntie Chris.

According to the 1920 Census, they were living at 7700 Dearborn Ave., Cleveland, see photo, whose backyard abutted the home they were living in in 1917. His year of immigration was 1910 [when he was 20], hers was "X" [it was 1889, when she was c. 4 years old.] His mother tongue is listed as "German". Hers is not indicated. He was born in Westphalia, Germany, as was his mother. His father was born in Alsace-Loraine, Germany. She is listed as born in Massachusetts [even though other records indicate she was born in Germany.] Christine's mother and father are listed as born in Hamburg, Germany. His occupation is draftsman, working in an office. Hers is "none". [Their first son was born in July of 1920, so after this Jan. 15, 1920 Census.]

They had three sons:
-Frederick William Bey (1919-1919)
-Robert Adelbert Bey (b. 1920) [Grave not found]
-Richard Rudolph Bey (b. 1928) [Grave not found]

According to the 1930 Census, they are living at 13340 Lorain Ave. (see house photo on Fred's page). He owns the home, valued at $28,000; they have a Radio Set. Fred was a draftsman at a machine factory, and not a Veteran. Robert, age 9, had attended school. Not so his 2 year old younger brother. Again, Fred and his parents and his language are listed as German. Christine is listed as born in MA, her parents born in Hamburg, Geramany.

According to the 1940 Census, they are living at 13340 Lorain Ave. He owns the home, and a young couple rents there. The sons, 19 and 11, attend school. The boys were born in Ohio, and the parents in Germany. [This is a departure from previous Census records, which (incorrectly) listed Christine as being born in MA.] Fred is a "Draftsman" at a "Punch and Shear Manufacturer". His income, at $3,600, is nearly double that of anyone else on his Census page of 40 people. Of the 40, 15 were born in Europe.

Her cause of death was cerebral vascular accident.
