Lifelong Shawnee resident Mary Chancellor, 77, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at her son's home in Newalla, Oklahoma.
Mary was born February 7, 1936 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Charles Edward & Dollie (Youts) May. She attended North Rock Creek School and graduated from Shawnee High School. On August 17, 1954 she married Del Chancellor in Shawnee. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2010. She was a member of the Golden Acres Baptist Church, and worked in the accounting department for the City of Shawnee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter: Mary Jo Walker, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by a son & daughter-in-Law: Monte & Sheila Chancellor of Newalla; daughter: Lori Cranford of Newalla; grandchildren: Shane Walker, Lori Eslinger and husband Bill, Lacy Cranford, Amanda Cranford, and Monica Mapira and husband Shelton; Great-Grandchildren: Colton and Carson Walker, Nate, Emma & Owen Eslinger, Jacob and Joshua Cranford, Chloe, Claire, and Tucker Mapira; sister: Ercel Brown of Shawnee; sisters-in-law: Betty Chancellor of Shawnee, Joyce Terney of Seminole and Shirley Hopkins of Choctaw; as well as many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
