Was married in England and had 2 daughters & 2 sons with her husband John. Then John did the unthinkable and ran off with the neighbor attempting to take their 2 sons with him. Son John managed to escape his father and ran back to his mother. Husband then left with their son George and the neighbor Mathilda left with her 2 children (William & Elizabeth Godwin) and came to the USA, ending up in Iron County Michigan.
Alice had a hard life trying to raise 3 children with no help from their father. I am not sure how you did it during those years Alice but am very grateful that I was able to find you and attempt to document your story.
