He was the son of "Zibbie" & Nancy (Parris) Cantrell.

He served his country during WORLD WAR I. After the war he plied the trade of an automobile mechanic.

He never married and he died in a VA Hospital.

Note: His Death Certificate listed his mother as Nancy Jolly. Nancy Parris married William Jolly circa 1880. She had two children by him: William Henry Jolley Cantrell (Find a Grave Memorial ID: 24921903) and Anna Nora Jolley Cantrell (Anna Nora Jolly Cantrell.) Circa 1888, Nancy married Zebulon Cantrell. All paperwork reflected that the two children were "Cantrell."
