Dr. Jack Sheldon Miles passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home. Dr. Miles was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Rendon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Claude and Elma May Miles; two sisters; four brothers; grandchild, Sharon Winnett; great-grandson, Derek Miles; another great-grandchild; and five great-great-grandchildren. Survivors: His wife of 76 years, Alice Miles of Rendon; adopted brother, Terry Miles of Louisiana; daughter, Patricia Fair and husband, Vernon, of Rendon; son, Jerry Miles and wife, Gwen, of Rendon; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
