John was the son of John R. and Elizabeth C. (Schlosser) Glaub. He married Christine N. Ferris on June 28, 1980, in Peoria, Ill. She preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 1993, in Peoria, Ill.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by three children, Sherry Miller, Tamia (David) Johnson and Brenda (Charles) Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He worked 40 years as quality control on the bottling line at Hiram Walker Distillery in Peoria, retiring in 1982.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post in Metamora, Ill.
