Margie Aaron, 84, of Quanah, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Crowell. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 6, in Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Quanah with the Rev. Jim Aaron officiating. Interment will follow in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
She was born July 5, 1929, a daughter of the late James and Ivy Mae Dawson. She married Norman S. Aaron in Quanah on Feb. 8, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a longtime resident of Quanah and a Quanah High School graduate.
She was a former owner of The Meat Mart and Chief Packing Company. She was also a former rural mail carrier and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Lynn Aaron of Quanah; two daughters, Linda Sims and Debbie Bivins, both of Quanah; a sister, Bobbie Bell of Garland; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
