Frederick Charles Adams, son of Mr. & Mrs. James Adams, was born at Westerham in October 1884. He was at school at Chobham Surrey and Tonbridge, and became a Greengrocer, being in that business with his brother at Tonbridge. He joined the Leicestershire Regiment in 1916, and proceeded to France in September of that year, being killed three weeks after he had landed in France
