Mrs. Emma R. Cross, 78,
formally of near Garfield, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leona Harp of Myersville,Md.
She was the widow of the late Edgar E. Cross.
Born near Garfield, she was the daughter of the late Upton and Annie (Kuhn) Lewis.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church near Garfield.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Mrs. Harp and Mrs. Jean Bowman of Smithsburg,Md., Mrs M. Lewis of Myersville, son Harold E. Cross of Hagerstown,Md., 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
The body is resting at the Bittle Funeral Home in Myersville,Md., where friends may call. Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Monroe J. Sheerer officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Bethel Church Cemetery near Garfield,Md.
