Granbury--Ethel Mae Alair, a retired teacher, died Dec. 9 at a Granbury nursing home. She was 89. Memorial service will be at noon Jan. 2 at First Christian Church in Granbury. Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Alair was born in Lawton, Okla., and taught in the Lawton school district for 28 years.
Survivors: Daughter, Jo Chrisman of Granbury; sister, Sadie Russell of Fort Collins, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

The 1921 LORE yearbook at Lawton High School calls her "Dreamy" and said "The same look, the same smile. Has won a senior's heart for a long, long while."
