He was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Metcalfe County, where he owned a farm. He was a cabinet maker for J.B. Scheirich Cabinet Company, where he worked for over 30 years before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He also enjoyed farming until recent years as his health declined, due to Parkinson's disease.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Coleman and one son.
