Marie Esther Dearth, 82, Logan, died Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Logan Health Care Center following an extended illness.

Born June 28, 1915, Knox Township, Vinton County, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma Mae Cline Dearth.

She was the former manager of the Christman Hotel in Logan, a cab driver for White Tip Taxi in Logan and a bartender for Stone's Grill, Logan.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Donald (JoAnn) Ellinger of Logan; two great-grandsons, Daniel F. "D.J." Bauman Jr. and Jason Ellinger, both of Logan; one great-granddaughter, Vendi L. Bauman of Logan; one great-great granddaughter, Josie Ann Bauman of Logan; and special friends JoAnn Brown, Aunt Billie Kalklosch and Viola Coakley, all of Logan.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mae Tucker and Flossie Ragan; three brothers, Otto, Milfred and John Dearth; and a great-granddaughter,

Jody Lynn.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Fairview Mausoleum near Rockbridge with the Rev. J. Gordon Sullivan officiating.

Burial will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur

Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of services at the New Fairview Mausoleum.
