MR. E. S. TROWBRIDGE OF STREET

A memorial service was held at Street Parish Church on Friday for Mr. Ernest Samuel Trowbridge, of 2 Glaston Road, Street, who died on 27th November, aged 79 years.

Cremation had taken place at Bath before the service.

Mr. Trowbridge had been a painter and decorator and for many years was employed by Messrs. G. Holland and Son, of Street. He had been employed by the firm under three generations of the Holland family.

A keen gardener, Mr. Trowbridge leaves a widow and daughter.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Hugh Knapman, R.D., and Mr. Pearce was at the organ for the hymns, "Abide With Me", and "Breathe on me, Breath of God."

Family mourners were: Mrs. E. Trowbridge (widow); Mr. and Mrs. E. Hobbs (daughter and son-in-law); Mr. S. Trowbridge (brother); Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Trowbridge (also rep. Mary), Mrs. S. Mayne (also rep. Mr. Mayne and Miss Una Trowbridge); Mr. and Mrs. A. Marsh, Mr. and Mrs. F. Lee, Mr. and Mrs. G. Carey, Mrs. G. Broughton (also rep. Mr. Broughton), and Mr. and Mrs. C. Wright and Dorothy (nephews and nieces); Mr. P. Trowbridge, Mrs. D. Weeks (also rep. Mr. D. Weeks), Mrs. H. Hines (also rep. Mr. Hines), Mrs. E. Webb (also rep. Mr. Webb), Mrs. T. Linham (also rep. Mrs. V. Broughton) and Tony (great nephews and great nieces).
