TRAVIS SCOTT KIRK, 35, of Houston, Texas, left to be with his King Sunday, January 19, 2014 after a two year battle with Colon Cancer. Travis was born February 21, 1978 in Wharton, Texas to Clinton and Veronica Kirk. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Kayla Kirk (30-Houston), his Daughter, Holly Kirk (15-Houston), and his parents of El Campo, Texas.

Travis grew up in North Houston and graduated from Sam Houston High School and proceeded with college education at the National Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering. He met his wife in 2004 and moved to Austin, Texas. He worked alongside great friends in Austin at Freescale Semiconductors for 2 years. They moved back to Houston in 2011 to be closer to family.

Travis was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer January 1, 2012 and fought a long hard battle with his family and friends surrounding him with unending support and love until the very end. His body grew weak and ragged and weary until the fight was just too much and our angel was called home for peace and rest.

The Funeral Mass celebrating Travis' strong life left behind and a Cancer free life now to lead will be at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00am Thursday, January 23, with visitation prior, starting at 9:30am. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:30am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, with a reception following in the social hall at St. Luke's.
