When Wayne was born the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he suffered brain damage.

His mother, Velma kept him at home and cared for him, until he got to big for her to carry him anymore. His parents then placed him in the Developmental Center in Lincoln, Illinois.

He passed away there after choking on food.
