Gertrude "Trudy" Helen Bialon passed away at her residence at the age of 85. She was born to Henry and Maude Starr Maloney and had lived in Reno since 1965, coming from Southern California. She also lived in Minneapolis, New Jersey and New York City. Trudy was a registered nurse at Washoe Medical Center from 1965 to 1981, where she played an integral role in developing the Intensive Care Newborn Nursery. Her husband, Edward, brothers, Michael, Tom, Jerry and Bill Maloney and sister, Anne, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Ann E. Hinxman, Joyce T. Wooley and Jane M. Cobb and sisters, Dorothy Lindall and Florence Costa, all of Reno; daughters, Joan P. Busby of Boise, Idaho, Jean M. Harrington of Smith Valley and Jan P. Bland of El Camino Village, CA; brother Ki Maloney of Constable; sisters, Margaret Maloney of Bronx, NY, Ruth Byrd of Cincinnati and June and Priscilla Maloney, both of Malone, NY, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
