CLIFTON PARK Stanley Posner, 81, formerly of the Hollandale Apts., died on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook. He was born in Brooklyn on December 16, 1924 and was the son of the late Louis and Ada Greenwald Posner. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and a 1949 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. He had worked for the Sterling Optical Companies in NYC, on Long Island and, more recently, at the Capital District location. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in central Europe, Northern France and Rhineland.
He was the father of four: Robin Warren of Voorheesville, Anton Posner of Commack, N.Y., Lara Posner of Manhattan and the late *Barry Posner; sister of Sheila Fuerst of La Jolla, Calif. and Laura Stern of Stewart, Fla.; also survived by four grandchildren.
